SUB SKATE takes over Unit 08, Copeland Park

from 11 July – 18 August.

There are two ways to experience it:

  • Tues–Thurs + Some Sundays

    Curated by Sub.Skate x Skate of Minds

    This is your weekday skate space — open-format sessions for all levels, with mellow music, good vibes and space to hang. Sometimes free, sometimes £5–15 depending on the event. From 22 July, 3–6pm Tues–Thurs is free for under 16s.

  • Fri–Sat + Some Sundays

    When the weekend hits, Roller Space turns up the energy. Expect a full-blown party with DJs, dancing, and the option to skate.

    ✔️ Skating in sessions (max 100 per round)

    ✔️ Rooftop open until 10pm

    ✔️ Arcade, pool tables, and viewing decks

    ✔️ Full bar + cocktails

    🛼 Skating is £5 extra, bought in venue (limited spaces)

    Are skate tickets included?

    •⁠ ⁠Midweek: Usually included

    •⁠ ⁠Parties: Skating is not included — it’s £5 extra, bought on the night

    Can I just come to hang out?

    Absolutely. You don’t need to skate to enjoy the space.

    Come for the music, bar, arcade, pool, rooftop, or just the vibe.

    Is there re-entry?

    Yes, for all ticketed events.

    Yes — or bring your own.

    Do I need to skate?

    No — skating is never required.

    Is it beginner friendly?

    Very. All levels welcome.

    Do I need protective gear?

    Optional. Ask Skate of Minds at the venue if you’d like to borrow some.

  • What’s the difference between midweek and weekends?

    •⁠ ⁠Midweek: Chill, no headliners, community energy

    •⁠ ⁠Weekends: Loud, curated, DJ-led party events with full lighting and sound

    What kind of music?

    From bass to amapiano, garage to dancehall - curated by London’s best collectives.

    Is there a dress code?

    No — just wear what you feel good moving in.

    Sound levels?

    80–90dB on weekends.

  • Is there a bar?

    Yes — cocktails, soft drinks, slushies

    Food available?

    Yes — rotating food vendors

    What else is on site?

    •⁠ ⁠Arcade games

    •⁠ ⁠Pool tables

    •⁠ ⁠Rooftop terrace (open till 10pm)

    •⁠ ⁠Chill zones and viewing platforms

    Are there lockers or charging?

    Yes — approx. 100 lockers on-site. Charging stations TBC.

    Are there baby changing facilities?

    🚫 No baby change areas available.

  • Is the venue accessible?

    Yes — step-free access available

    Are you LGBTQIA+ friendly?

    Yes — we follow JUMBI’s inclusion and welfare policy

    Is there first aid?

    Yes — trained staff + defibrillator via Copeland Park

  • Can I take photos or film?

    Yes — respectfully. GoPros at your own risk. Official photographers may be present.
